Sugoroku is still amazingly unflappable about all of this. He was just saved by a mysterious ghost and now the treasure at the end of the game is magically glowing, but he’s still pretty calm and not weirded out at all. ^^;

Dear Dorm Mother
Just a short lil thing for @yugirl. <3
"Leysa-nee~!" Chinatsu called, sticking her head into the Slifer Dorm Master's office to find the woman once again hunched over the old, barely working computer. Frowning, Chinatsu steps into the room and slides the door shut behind her.
Ever since the whole incident with Banner-Amneal-whatever reall his name is, Leysa's been hunched over his computer or in his old lab, combing through all his notes looking for...something.
Maybe proof that it wasn't all a lie.
Chinatsu huffs. Her own feelings aside, she would shake down Banner's ghost for Leysa's closure if the spirit hadn't pulled a vanishing act.
"Hey, you should take a break." Chinatsu taps her cousin on the shoulder and the woman jerks with a terrified squeal.
"Chinatsu!" Leysa swivels in the chair to stare at the girl with eyes rimmed in red and dark patches starting to show beneath. A beat later, she puts on her best 'mom smile' but the tremble in her aura still gives her away. "Is there something you need?"
"Yeah." Chinatsu tugs on her cousin's arm and decides to play this up with an exaggerated frown. "Come over to the food hall. We need you."
Mom instincts activated, Leysa immediately abandons the desk and let's Chinatsu pull her from the room. "Oh, no. Did someone get hurt trying to use the stove again? Honestly, you kids need to stop trying to cook food yourselves! I can handle it!"
Chinatsu swallows a laugh and buries her smirk in her shoulder. The rickety old stove in the Slifer kitchen was temperamental on the best of days and a fire hazard on the worst. Somehow Banner knew how to expertly utilize it so they never knew until he disappeared; Leysa was now in the processes of demanding the funds to replace it. "It's better if you see it," Chinatsu says cryptically.
Maybe she should feel a bit worse about the panic stricken look on Leysa's face as she pulls out of Chinatsu's grasp to hurry ahead.
Gotcha.
"I'm here, is everything okay?" Leysa practically bursts into the lunch hall, aura rapidly fluxating as a chorus of, "SURPRISE!" rings across the building.
Chinatsu snickers quietly as Leysa stands dumbly in the doorway of a room full of Slifer Red students. A lingering panic still claws at her, but mostly her aura is just a confused mess.
"I- what- What is this?"
"We-well, it's been a rough year a-and we noticed you've been really down s-so-" Syrus stutters, doing that thing with his hands and avoiding eye contact, while Jaden sweeps his hands in a grand motions to the cake on the nearest table.
"We thought we'd do something to cheer you up!"
The cake is bit misshapen with lopsided decorations and clearly home made. Blocky, bright red writing boldly proclaims, 'Dear Dorm Mom, We Love You!'
The room falls silent in anticipation, all eyes on Leysa for her reaction. Except Leysa doesn't, frozen in shock, until her jaw finally quivers and a tear slides down her cheek as she throws her arms around the nearest students in tight hug. "Come here, you lil rascals! I love you too!"
